Job Description –Auto Mechanic Provides assistance and/or guidance to the mechanics to help accurately identify extent of damage or troubles affecting the vehicles Verifies vehicle’s serviceability, roadworthiness and quality by conducting test drives and validating actual repair works done by maintenance personnel Must be able to operate all types of vehicles, specialized equipment and tools Must be able to perform minor and major repairs of vehicles, specialized equipment and hand tools Maintains detailed records of each vehicle including maintenance, inspection, or repair services performed Oversees the timely and proper conduct of preventive and corrective maintenance on company-owned vehicles and specialized equipment and tools Maintain a clean and safe working environment to protect oneself and others in accordance with all department guidelines and adheres to the occupational safety and health regulations Ensures that the maintenance workplace is kept clean and in order and that maintenance tools and equipment used at the shop are in good operating condition. Respond to routine and emergency call to rescue vehicles on the field Qualification: College Level or Graduate of a 2-year Technical/Vocational Course on Automotive, preferably with truck refrigeration system experience Familiar with Truck/Vehicle Preventive Maintenance and proactive/reactive repairs Knowledge of tools, equipment, and technology used in service and maintenance of refrigerated trucks/vehicles and specialized equipment Ability to: • Perform scheduled routine service and repair of refrigerated trucks/vehicles • Diagnose causes for electrical, mechanical and refrigeration problems of trucks/vehicles • Understand and follow technical instructions in repair manuals • Detect needed repairs and perform minor adjustments to equipment • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and supervisor • Operate/drive motor vehicles and must possess a valid driver’s license • Attend work as scheduled and/or required Specialization: Mechanical, Electrical, Refrigeration
